DESCRIPTION:

The tester is designed for reading data and a commanding
(Management) of diesel pumps Bosch VP44/30 with control unit
PSG5/PSG2.

Data between the tester and the control unit of the pump PSG, is
transmitted over high-speed two-wire bus, can-bus.
.
Tester consists of :

  • PC with Windows XP
  • Interface for CAN and ISO comunication
  • Stabilise power suply
  • All cables needed
  • Pumps control software (coded to PC)
  • Test planes for pumps listed

With the tester can be done:

  • Reading speed (RPM) from the pump
  • Reading of the temperature (t) of the pump (Celsius).
  • Implementation of different fuel rates (injection).
  • Implementation of different filing of advance (0-100%).
  • obtain information about the work of the final stage commanding the solenoid for the fuel quantity (OK-FAIL).
  • remove the immobilizer (software) in pumps for Ford (VP30).

With the tester can be performed full inspection of mechanics and electronics of the pump..

From 01.11.2013 VP44?30 tester is working with new software and hardware. Mods:

  • in the new pump command software, fuel is set as mg/str. (any value possible)
  • test planes for all pumps included (condition of hydraulic head can be tested)
  • adjustment of Delta Phi included

Test system for testing solenoid controlled Bosch diesel pumps VP44/30.
Can be used as add on kit with any type of test bench, including benches with glass measuring tubes.
The tester is comanding the pump via can-bus line, no need to cut wires etc.
With the tester the fuel delivery can be changed, from 0 to 100% .
The delivery is shown in mg/str. Pump advance can be changed from 100% (full advance), to 0% (no advance).
Data is read from the pump control unit (PSG) about : temperature, rpm and CAN status messages.
Errors stored in pump control unit (PSG) In this way any malfunction in the pump durring testing is shown immediately.
In the tester software there is also function, for removing imobilizer (Temporarily) in Ford VP30 pumps.
In this way, the pump can be exchanged from one vehicle to another with no need to reprogram the imobilizer in dealer service.

From 15.05.2012 we have successfully added software module for management and testing of VP30 pumps with integrated immobilizer. They are mounted in Ford cars – Focus, Transit, Fiesta.

From 12/5/2012 tester’s software is fully updated. Improved
are can communication and graphic mode. New function is added,
monitoring in real time the pump on the test bench during
testing (can-status).

From 14.04. 2013 the software is fully reworked. Improved are can-bus hardware and firmware. Added VP44 pumps for Ford Mondeo and Transit. Added are MAN VP44 pumps. Corrected is starting fuel quantity.

From 01.11.2013 VP44/30 tester is working with new software and hardware.

UPDATE

From 01.2015 tester software updates as follows :

  • 1.all VP44/30 pumps in production can be tested
    including ZEXEL VP44 pumps
  • 2.additional kit is offered (as an option), consists of :
    -timing checking device, no need to use stroboscope
    -all necessary tools for pump mounting and connecting to
    the test bench (flanges, couplers, etc.).
    -customer can choose between PC or laptop with
    software pre installed

Updates from 15.04.2015 :

  • as USB- CAN interface shows not very reliable, from this date PCI-CAN interface is used (opto decoupled)
  • offered timing measuring device and pump body repair/clean device
  • updated test planes
